The beautiful city on the river Una. According to the legend this river took one Roman legionary breath away. He called it “Una” (one, unique). This unique river has always been an inspiration for the artists of
many generations. Agricultural city Bihać and Una confuse many visitors.
Coloured agricultural vehicles are clattering through the city centre; the horses are in cattle pounds near river and the villagers are carrying sacks of bread grains towards water-mill. The completely different atmosphere can be seen on city market where fruit and vegetables are sold - modern dressed women are shopping, girls watching windows of modern stores. In The Second World War, the city of Bihać was
the centre of occupation resistance: In November 1942, the first session of AVNOJ (abbr. - Anti-fascist Council of the National Liberation of Yugoslavia).
